There are lots of ways to calculate your body fat percentage, but if you don’t fancy being measured with calipers or can’t afford Hydrostatic Body Fat Testing you can estimate your body fat at home with this simple body fat calculator.
You will need
- A tape measure (any tape measure will work but the MyoTape Body Tape Measure is ideal for quick accurate measurements)
- Weigh yourself. Record the measurement in pounds in the box below. You can round up or down to the nearest pound, or if you want to be accurate you can include decimals e.g. 126.5
- Measure your waist in inches. Ideally measure this to the nearest quarter inch. Your waist is about an inch above your belly button.
Men – Input the data (weight and waist circumference) and calculate your body fat percentage.
For women only – you will also need to measure your wrist at the widest point, your hips at the widest point (sorry, I know it hurts to measure the widest part!) and your forearm (also at the widest point).
